The impact of COVID-19 has had an unprecedented effect on SMEs in Australia. With over 50% of the workforce employed by these businesses, the local economy and the people who power the country’s livelihood, has been shattered.
The Works and Daresay have teamed up to provide free digital marketing and branding advice for small businesses that need help getting back on their feet. We are hitting the road in The Works Van across Sydney, stopping in different locations over 3 months for one on one consultations with our team of experts.
Businesses registered in Australia and currently operating in New South Wales can express their interest to “jam” with our team via an online registration form.
The Works founders Damian Pincus and Kevin Macmillan coined the term ‘Van Jam’ almost 18 years ago when The Works consisted of just two men and a van. They would drive to a prospective client for a morning consultation, then park out front to work on a brand strategy and creative proposition to present back in the afternoon.
Adapting to change and uncertainty (and a little bad weather) was all in a day’s work. Which is why we’re going back to our roots to help you weather the storm. We’ve been hitting the road with our sister agency, content and social media specialists Daresay, to support local businesses looking to rebuild or pivot in the wake of COVID-19.
The team have visited various parts of Sydney so far, including Sydney’s east with Bondi, Sydney’s inner west with Ashfield and Sydney’s greater west with Campbelltown. Even the mayor came down to get in on some of the action! Upcoming Van Jams include the Central Coast and Newcastle, as we move into supporting regional NSW. We have spoken to small business owners across a range of industries, from a VR company, chocolate connoisseur, interior designer, organic food distributor, to yoga teachers, physiotherapists and an events company.
